Chapter One1.Completion Bryce sped sown the streets of Cincinnati with one hand on the wheel and his tempered flared. The purr of the engine becoming so loud he could barely hear himself think. His other hand occupied a single black cigarette—homemade and illegal, burning away at his hand. As he brought the stick of tobacco to his mouth he let the fumes ignite his nostrils, he wanted to take every toxic chemical possible. He blew out a single ring of smoke that seemed to lead him to her image. There she was his drug, his lover, and right now his partner. Angel and a vampireAngel woke from her alarm clock going off. Moaning she sat up from where she laid on the floor. “Looks like we missed the bed again?” she said with a slight laugh. She knew he was not there, but back at the abounded church, that he called home. She slowly crawled onto her bed; reaching across to slap at her alarm clock.
